Original Ink Sketch (multiple styles)

Sketches are the starting point for each painting I create.

Each sketch drawn by hand in ink on watercolor paper, pulled directly from the same process I use before moving onto canvas.  They're a little more simple, a little more raw, and a closer look at the foundation of my work.

I may revisit the same composition many many times, but no two are ever exactly alike.  Every line is drawn by hand, which means each piece has it's own subtle differences and character. 

***Please note I struggled to photograph them-the paper is a true white and the ink is a deep blue, green or dark pink.  In a couple of the close ups you can see the texture of the paper and color of the ink better!

This is a small release as I explore bringing these sketches into my collection.  If you love them I'll make more!
